Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I hope you have a chance to have some corned beef and cabbage with your family today. Speaking of food, we are excited to share a great opportunity for our families. Beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18, we will begin offering a meal pickup option. Here are the scheduled pickup windows:
Wednesday, March 18 11:00am-12:00pm 5:00pm-6:00pm
Thursday, March 19 11:00am-12:00pm 5:00pm-6:00pm
Friday, March 20 11:00am-12:00pm
Next week and beyond: (Monday will have 3 days of meals and Thursday 2 days of meals)
Mondays: 11:00am-12:00pm 5:00pm-6:00pm
Thursdays: 11:00am-12:00pm 5:00pm-6:00pm
There is no cost for a student receiving a meal. Based on governmental guidelines, students should be present for the meal pickup. Meals are available for all school age (K-12) children living with in the Lucas School District. Each day’s meals will have items for a breakfast and a lunch. Please understand these are very basic meals, but meals will meet governmental guidelines. There will be two options for pickup:
Please enter the drive north of the elementary school between the school building and the playground (a traffic pattern will be in place). Drive behind the elementary school. Meals will be provided through door G of the building. Parents and students will not need to leave their vehicle.
Please walk to door C of the elementary school. This door is located in the courtyard area between the middle school and elementary school.
