Dear Families:

We are working on a plan to provide meals (breakfast and lunch) for all school age (K-12) children living in Lucas Local School District. As part of the planning process, we need some feedback from parents. Please access this link to complete a brief survey by 10:00am Tuesday (3/17) morning. Meal survey link: https://forms.gle/jTaUhj8vjC5XNLzw6

We will be sharing more details about the distribution plan for the meals in the next couple of days. It is our intention to begin providing meals later this week. Keep in mind these meals will be free of charge and most likely available for pickup. Again, details will follow in the coming days. For questions related to meals and meal contents, please contact Nancy Sgambellone This email address is being protected from spambots. Hopefully, today was a successful first day of "virtual school" for your children. If your family has any issues arise related to school work or related materials and devices, please contact your student’s teacher and/or building principal before venturing to a school building. It is our intention to have staff members available on a limited basis, but we advise making a call or appointment to ensure availability to assist you with your needs. It is important to understand, that starting tomorrow students are NOT to be in any school buildings, only staff. This means students should not be stopping by the buildings.

For our special education families, we will continue to hold scheduled ETR/IEP meetings. These meetings will be conducted via phone conference. Do NOT come to the school to meet. District staff will call you at the scheduled meeting time. Please be available by phone at the appropriate time. Please contact Toni Zehe with any related questions This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by phone 419-892-2338 x21009.

We truly appreciate your flexibility in these ever-changing times in Ohio. We will continue to communicate school-related information as it develops. While the times are changing by the hour, the one constant is our great community that rallies together in times of need!

Thank you for your continued support in keeping our students, staff, and community safe. More information on the COVID-19 (coronavirus) is available at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus and at www.richlandhealth.org.

Sincerely,

Bradley A. Herman
